The permanent resident visa for Special Immigrant Religious Workers falls under the EB-4 US immigration visa category and is designed for qualifying ministers and non-ministers of religion who will immigrate to the United States to work full-time as compensated ministers, priests, rabbis, imams or in other eligible religious occupations or vocations. The special immigrant religious worker is required to have been a member of a religious denomination which has maintained a non-profit bona fide religious organization in the US for a minimum of two years immediately prior to when the petition is filed with the US immigration agency. The religious worker must also have a minimum of two years of full-time work experience in the qualifying religious occupation immediately prior to filing the petition with the US immigration agency. A religious worker and his/her spouse and unmarried children under 21 years of age who satisfy all of the requirements to be granted a EB-4 US immigration visa and Green Card may live, study and work in the USA for an unlimited length of time and enjoy many other benefits available to permanent residents of the United States.
